Michael Bologna is a fifth year student at the Pennsylvania State University studying Architectural Engineering with a focus in the Structural option. After completing his fifth year thesis, he will graduate in December of 2016 with an Integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering. In March 2015 Michael completed and passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam. He plans on pursuing a Professional Engineering license after gaining the required years of experience and receiving an Engineering in Training status upon graduation.
The past summer Michael worked at Rathgeber/Goss associates in Rockville, Maryland as Structural Engineering intern. He worked on several projects around the DC metro area. Some of his tasks involved designing concrete slabs in RAM Concept and designing steel members to support roof top mechanical units. He learned valuable skills from this experience and looks forward to finding a full time position at a building structural design firm after graduation in December 2016.
During the winter Michael frequently spends his time skiing with twin sister or classmates. He also enjoys playing golf and running when the weather is warmer.
